  1. 1. At start I wasn’t sure if 3 of the sources were reliable, but after undergoing researches for the sources that were unknown to me I found that these sources are highly recommendable and extremely reliable. These sources are very reliable because for one, The New York Times is the most familiarized source for generalized researching. “Global Perspectives On Childhood Obesity, Current Status, Consequences, and Prevention” appeared to me a great source once I reviewed Academic Press’ website. I don’t see why 65 years of experience on everything scientific ranging from agricultural sciences to chemical engineering won’t be a trust worthy and most reliable research source. Moving on, all of these sources are and will be relevant to your stated research topic by the fact that every single source is concerning childhood obesity. The sources are in correct MLA style for a Works Cited Page. Your topic will make a compelling research topic essay since children are the future, we wouldn’t want our next generation children to become unhealthy and obese.

  2. 1. Are the sources listed in this Annotated Bibliography reliable? Why or why not?
The sources listed in this Bibliography seem very reliable. I came to this conclusion based on the credibility of the sources that this information came from. Canadian Medical Association, the New York Times, Oxford University Press Journal of Consumer Affairs is all very prestigious sources. It would be very hard to doubt the credibility of these sources.

    2. Do the sources listed seem relevant to the stated research topic? If so, how?
The sources listed seemed relevant to the topic which is food marketing in battle to reduce childhood obesity. All of these sources center on the idea of obesity. Sources are centered on Michelle Obama and other influential people that are also very involved in this epidemic crisis of obesity. This made this topic very relevant and even more important than people may actually realize that it is.

    3. What additional sources might you suggest this student find? (Not specific articles/books per se, but what kind of information might the student still need to write this essay?)
Additional sources that might be helpful in wring this essay would be more reliable sources. Sources from places other than internet data bases would make the essay more credible and interesting.

    4. Are the sources listed in correct MLA style for a Works Cited page? (You can go to http://library.laguardia.edu/research/mla for reference.)
These Sources are listed in correct MLA work cited format. If a person was trying to verify the validity of these sources it would be very simple for them to do it. All that would be required in finding these sources and articles would be to type in the given sources in a library database.
    5. Do you think this topic will make a compelling research essay? Why or why not?
I believe this topic will make a very compelling research essay. I partly believe this because I happen to be centering my research essay in the same vicinity of this topic with all the health issues and attention that Obesity has brought to light in this day and age a topic like this is very important and will make a very compelling essay.
